New Variants journey began back in 2019 when aged just 10, Charlie, Dylan and Seren successfully auditioned for the West End Musical \u201cSchool of Rock\u201d composed by none other than Andrew Lloyd Webber. \u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

They then spent several months shredding the guitar, slapping the bass and playing killer beats before a live audience several nights of the week on the stage of the Gillian Lynne Theatre as part of \u201cTeam Acoustic\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the end of their run on 1st March 2020, which coincided with the end of the West End production itself, the trio of firm friends continued to jam together exploring various musical genres and developing their sound and identity.<\/p>\n

Several weeks later, Covid hit! \u00a0<\/span>Not to be outdone, the trio began recording digital collaborations from their individual bases around the country (Devon\/Hertfordshire and South London) and producing video content and audio tracks and it was then that \u201cNew Variants\u201d the 3 piece rock band was officially born!<\/p>\n

Once lockdown was lifted, New Variants was unleashed, hitting the studios and busking within various locations. They quickly secured gigs performing at Powderham Live at Powderham Castle (owned and run by the Duke of Devon) and New Milton Youth Festival in addition to being invited to perform at a newly opened HMV franchise store in Hertfordshire.<\/p>\n

Fast establishing themselves within their local communities and garnering support from an army of growing fans, they went on to secure a much-coveted residency at Acklam Village Market, Portobello Road where they play twice daily slots every few weeks.<\/p>\n

In addition, New Variants have begun writing and recording their own original material which they are very excited to share with their fans.<\/p>\n
